December sales at the big four automakers missed forecasts across the board. Despite falling short of industry estimates, GM, Ford, Toyota and Chrysler all saw their sales in December beat the year ago figures. One bright spot for several of the automakers were truck sales which have been steadily climbing as home construction and renovations have picked up. TheStreet’s Ruben Ramirez has details on what the numbers could mean for the auto industry in 2014.
