Cryptocurrencies aren’t an asset class just yet, according to one expert.
That’s the assessment from Oliver Pursche, chief market strategist at Bruderman Brothers and panelist on TheStreet’s exclusive event Investing in Cryptocurrencies.
“We are not recommending [cryptocurrencies] as an investment category,” Pursche said, adding that he’s actually discouraging clients from investing in cryptocurrencies. “Just because it’s way too early.”
Cyrptocurrencies are not an asset class yet, according to Pursche. “It might become one at some point.”
