Estee Lauder’s (EL) third quarter earnings topped analyst estimates on Tuesday. The cosmetics maker reported earnings of $0.72 per share, up from last year’s $0.64. Revenue also beat Wall Street predictions, coming in at $2.58 billion. New product launches boosted the company’s numbers but Estee Lauder has now lowered its 2015 profit outlook due to the strong dollar. Movie star Eva Mendes has recently been named as the new face of the company’s New Dimension skin care collection. Sales of make up and luxury products saw an overall increase during the third quarter. CEO Fabrizio Freda commented that ‘Our growth this quarter again came from multiple engines, with particular strength in the United Kingdom and emerging markets.’ Shares in Estee Lauder are up about 10 percent since the start of the year.
