Bosker travels the distance between those two statements in Cork Dork, slang for someone who can’t stop talking about wine. Formerly the technology editor at Huffington Post, Bosker is “a type-A neurotic by birth,” she writes, and her capacity for intense focus is triggered when a sommelier tells her that he is studying for the World’s Best Sommelier. Bosker is first incredulous and then fascinated by “the most masochistic hedonists I’d ever met.”
