Best Buy said on Thursday that while holiday sales in the U.S. rose, weak demand and price pressure may mean lower sales in the first half of the year. The Street’s Jim Cramer says the numbers aren’t really all that bad. The problem is, he says, that Best Buy let the expectations get ahead. Cramer says the retailer did have up holiday season comps and the online numbers were extraordinary so he doesn’t want to give up on Best Buy. But the problem is the stock got ahead of where it should be. It’s a mixed bag from Best Buy but in the end, the stocks that have run into the holiday season just can’t maintain their momentum.
