Companies need to rethink their supply chains, said Justin Dillon, Made in a Free World CEO, who spoke on a panel at the Milken Institute Global Conference discussing how goods are made and moved around. He said while improvements have been made over the past 30 years in corporations’ use of forced labor, many are still not acknowledging the bottom layer of the supply chain. Dillon told TheStreet how a letter to the late Steve Jobs actually got a reply directly from Jobs and how Dillon uses it today to show the impact a company can have if they have the will, as he said Apple did then and still does, in improving conditions.
