Comcast’s NBC unit is expecting record profits from its coverage of the Olympics in Rio, and TheStreet’s Jim Cramer says that shows big event programming still brings in ad dollars, even with the shift to digital. Cramer said the the Olympics and the NFL are marquee events and advertisers must spend money on them. Cramer said that’s one of the reasons why his charitable trust, Action Alerts PLUS, bought shares of Comcast.
