Shares of Colgate-Palmolive were on the rise despite posting mixed quarterly results. The consumer products maker reported earnings of $0.70 A share, which barely topped estimates. But revenue of $3.85 billion fell just shy of Wall Street’s prediction. Organic sales grew 4.5% year-over-year, something that pleased CEO Ian Cook in the face of challenging macroeconomic conditions worldwide. The stock has climbed more than 10% since the beginning of the year.
