Meltem Demirors’ family is from rural Turkey and after spending time there and seeing firsthand how some people in this world actually do not have a stable currency, she was motivated her to get involved in the cryptocurrency world.
“For far too long, the world’s wealth has bee directed and controlled by white men,” says Demirors, the chief strategy officer at CoinShares, a platform for cyrptocurrencies.
And since 51% of households are controlled by women these days, she is looking to change “to create a new financial system that caters to the population of this country.”
Clearly she is hoping to do that with cryptos.
