Coca-Cola Enterprises, the Coca-Cola Company’s bottling spin-off, managed to overcome macroeconomic challenges afflicting its central market, Europe. In its fourth quarter, the soda giant reported revenue 6% higher to $2.03 billion. Net income of 54 cents a share beat earnings estimates by 2 cents and was 20% higher than a year earlier. Boosting sales, overall volume picked up 2.5%, driven by a 20% increase in its no-sugar alternative Coke Zero.
