Charlie Kirk’s books and podcasts have skyrocketed to the top of charts across nearly every major platform after the 31-year-old conservative activist was assassinated last Wednesday.
Kirk – the Turning Point USA founder who became a prominent figure among young conservative men – was perhaps best known for his podcast, “The Charlie Kirk Show,” which topped Apple’s podcast chart in the No. 1 slot on Monday.
On Spotify’s podcast chart, his show ranked at No. 26, trending upward with a green arrow.
His forthcoming book, “Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life,” shot to the top slot as Amazon’s best-selling book – a full three months before its release in December.
The book – a guide on “how to unplug, recharge, and reconnect with God, family, and yourself” – surpassed upcoming titles from former Vice President Kamala Harris and Eric Trump.
Kirk’s older title, “The College Scam” – which accuses American universities of brainwashing and indoctrination – was a No. 5 Amazon bestseller on Monday. It was published in 2022.
His 2020 audiobook “The MAGA Doctrine” – which runs six and a half hours long – soared to the No. 3 slot on both Audible and Apple’s lists of top audiobooks.
Other titles simply linked to the pundit took off on Monday in the wake of Kirk’s shocking death.
Tom MacDonald, a Canadian rapper known for his right-wing politics, released a tribute song “CHARLIE” that notched the No. 1 slot on the US iTunes chart and No. 6 on the international list.
A book titled “CHARLIE KIRK BIOGRAPHY” also made it to Amazon’s bestseller list, landing at No. 9.
But over half of the reviews left the book just a one-star rating, with many warning it was simply AI slop made to profit from the young activist’s death. Several reviews alleged that the last page in their versions of the book revealed it was published the same day Kirk died.
Kirk’s widow Erika said Friday evening that she expects her late husband’s influence to grow even greater posthumously.
“My husband’s voice will remain, and it will ring out louder and more clearly than ever, and his wisdom will endure,” she said in a livestreamed address, which has racked up 3.5 million views.
Kirk’s main Instagram account has added 3.5 million followers since the assassination. His podcast’s TikTok account has gained over 1.5 million followers. And his Facebook page has added 2.3 million followers.
His main YouTube channel has nearly 5 million subscribers, up from 3.8 million before he was killed.
The account for his organization Turning Point USA has also seen its subscriber count rise to 3.85 million, up from 3.3 million.
Tyler Robinson, 22, was arrested on Friday and faces formal charges including aggravated murder in Kirk’s death.
