Just because shares of healthcare technology provider Castlight are coming down from their initial IPO pop does not mean the fireworks in the sector are over, says Paul Teitelbaum, managing director at Mesirow Financial. Teitelbaum says the rising popularity of telemedicine makes the healthcare IT space extremely lucrative, and valuations for publicly traded companies remain high, so more IPOs should be expected. He also expects a rise in mergers now that Obamacare’s rules are finally revealed.
