This 12-part series will arm you with the information you need to better understand options, how they can be used by option traders and it is intended to help you build the confidence to place your first options trade on the thinkorswim paperMoney platform. Terms such as. expiration dates, strike prices, bid ask spreads, option chains, options premium, max gain, max loss, return on risk, and many more will be introduced. Buckle up! It is going to be an interesting journey into the world of options.
In this webcast, we focused on long puts (or buying puts). We provided an overview of what it means to buy a put and why a trader might choose to trade this strategy. We used thinkorswim Web to look at several charts and then placed an example trade with both a target and a stop.
