News Corp’s Rupert Murdoch is once again looking to consolidate his European pay-tv operations. BSkyB is in talks with its largest shareholder, 21st Century Fox to buy the stakes it owns in Sky Italy and Sky Germany. The Deal’s Laura Board reports it could make 21st Century Fox a much more streamlined company if it takes cash instead of stock in BSkyB. Board says there would be cost and revenue synergies immediately if Fox sells its stakes in the two companies to BSkyB. Board says BSkyB is looking to do a deal sooner rather than later for fear the price will go higher.
