Equities were caught up in a global sell-off on Friday, triggered by changes to Chinese market regulation. Worries over Greece’s future peaked on Friday after a top European Union official said there was little chance a debt deal would be agreed upon next week. Greece is barreling toward an end-of-month deadline to receive further debt relief from its European creditors. Mattel (MAT) was the best performer on the S&P 500 as quarterly revenue beat estimates for the first time in a year. Time Warner Cable (TWC) was the worst performer on reports the Justice Department will likely block its deal with Comcast (CMCSA) on antitrust concerns.
