BMW (BMW) had two world debuts at the Detroit Auto Show this week, including the highly anticipated M2 performance coupe, which will hit showrooms this spring. The M2 is all about speed, as it can go zero to sixty in just over four seconds. Ludwig Willisch, president and CEO of BMW North America, said the M2 is something that customers have been asking for, and he touted its speed and agility. Willisch knows speed. He’s been in the driver’s seat and has raced at 200 mph, which he described as ‘fun.’ BMW also debuted the electric X4 M40i SUV in Detroit. BMW came out on top in the luxury car sales race in 2015, with sales up 5.2%.
