TheStreet’s Jim Cramer says Target CEO Brian Cornell is returning the company to its roots by aiming to win back America after losing its way under the previous CEO. What the retailer ultimately needs to be, Cramer says, is the low cost place to get excited about again. He says going forward when you go into a Target store you’re going to see organic and natural in the food aisle, baby items on sale and a lot of stuff that he regards as ‘fancy inexpensive’. On Wednesday, the retailer posted its best sales growth in nearly three years. The jump in fourth quarter same-store sales and profit was helped by an expanding online business.
