The top executives from Anheuser Busch-Inbev (BUD), SAB Miller, and Coors Brewing (TAP) will head to Capitol Hill today to explain why the mergers in the industry are necessary and won’t hurt consumers. Anheuser Busch-Inbev is trying to buy SAB Miller in a $107 billion deal. The executives will appear before a subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) Shares are under pressure this morning after several Boston College students got sick after eating at the restaurant, including members of the university’s basketball team. Chipotle says it has closed the restaurant in question until health officials can determine a cause. Nike (NKE) has signed NBA star LeBron James to a lifetime contract. Financial details of the contact have not been released but a source tells ESPN that it is the largest contract in the company’s history and the first time it has agreed to a lifetime deal with an athlete.
