Hot online pinboard site Pinterest is on deck to be the big winner for venture capital giant Andreessen Horowitz, says Ben Horowitz, author of “The Hard Thing About Hard Things”. Horowitz says he tries to invests in companies that will create a way of doing something that is up to 100 times better than the old way. As to whether it’s better to sell a hot company or take it public depends on the size of the end market, as evidenced by Google’s decision to go it alone, says Horowitz.
