The Bears convert the Vikings turnover on downs into a field goal. 6-3, Chicago.
The Bears have outgained the Vikings, 158 yards to 76, own a 19:47-10:13 edge in time of possession and a 2-0 advantage in turnovers. But the Vikings have thus far matched them on the scoreboard, 3-3.
And Minnesota’s on the board before halftime. Just barely. Greg Joseph’s 34-yard field goal sneaks inside the right upright to tie the game at 3-3 as the clock expires. This is not Monday Night Football’s finest hour.
Another Bears punt incoming after the 2-minute warning. That 11 plays for 34 yards on the last three Bears possessions. Still 3-0, Chicago. Somebody’s gotta win this game.
And the Bears give right back again after a Dobbs interceptions. Four plays, 12 yards and a punt. These offenses are hard to watch.
Bears fail to capitalize on the turnover. Three plays, -4 yards and a punt after taking over near midfield. Justin Fields overthrows Darnell Mooney on third down.
