All eyes are on Atlantic City as the Queen of Resorts scrambles to deal with a rapidly approaching liquidity crisis. Emergency manager Kevin Lavin has been tapped to look into the city’s finances, but he may be facing a small window to resolve matters. Sources have told The Deal that the city could run out of cash as early as the third quarter of this year, and a major issue the city is facing is push-back from casinos on the way their taxes are structured. That said, there are pending bills that could really help the city with its money troubles when they are combined with cost cutting measures and state aid.
