Ark’s Bryant Park restaurant evictions are looming after legal battle
ShareShareShareShareShare

The struggle over Bryant Park restaurants leases has gone on for more than a year. Now, eviction of Ark Restaurants’ Bryant Park Grill, Cafe and Porch might be in sight, Ark CEO Michael Weinstein warned investors on his company’s third-quarter earnings call.

Barring an unlikely reversal of a court ruling which upheld the landlords’ right to evict Ark, “The company will be required to vacate these premises and cease operations” when a stay of an eviction ruling expires “on or about October 16, 2026,” it said.

Publicly traded Ark operates restaurants, bars and catering operations around the US. The Bryant Park venues remain open as the legal tussle continues.

The park venues contribute around 15% of Ark’s overall revenues. But Weinstein earlier told The Post that uncertainty over the leases has caused a loss in pre-booked party business.

The nonprofit Bryant Park Corporation, Ark’s landlord, wants to replace Ark with a restaurant run by Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

But that situation, too, is clouded by the fact that Vongerichten’s original partner in the planned Bryant Park takeover, Seaport Entertainment Group, is no longer in the deal.dasdasdasd
