With Apple (AAPL) planning to enable ad-blocking in iOS 9, S&P Capital IQ senior industry analyst Angelo Zino says the move will help the company gain market share and keep its users happy. Zino says he believes Apple’s goal here is in line with its strategy of trying to be user’s best friend and offer the top user experience that it can. Zino says at the heart of the move is consumer privacy and security — something Apple wants its users to know is a top priority for the company. With privacy and security a growing concern for consumers, Zino says this is likely to continue to be a key and central theme for Apple in the years to come. It will be increasingly important when it comes to devices like the Apple Watch, Zino says, which will make Apple privy to a lot of personal information about its users.
