The iPhone could be getting its biggest overhaul in years.
Apple is expected to announce a slimmer, all-new model Tuesday at its highly anticipated product event dubbed “Awe Dropping.” The newest iPhone is rumored to be called the iPhone Air.
This would be the first major redesign since 2017’s iPhone X, which ditched the home button and introduced Face ID, shaping the iPhones we know today.
The iPhone Air may not redefine the iPhone’s future, but analysts say it could add more variety for customers who want something different. Apple needs it: while sales remain strong, upgrades have been slowing.
Meanwhile, Apple’s long-promised Siri upgrades have been delayed due to engineering setbacks. An updated Siri chatbot is in the works but Apple said it doesn’t expect to launch a more personalized version until sometime next year.
Also expected to make appearances at the event: the iPhone 17, new Apple Watch models, revamped AirPods – giving Apple fans plenty to look forward to.
