Smart Approaches to Marijuana is portrayed as an ‘anti-pot’ group, but co-founder Kevin Sabet actually believes there are good uses for medicinal marijuana. The group believes that more studies should be completed to examine the various components of marijuana and then have it administered through pharmacies. As a former advisor to the Obama administration on drug policy, Sabet was surprised that two states have been allowed to legalize federal crimes.
