U.S. stocks took the lead from falling European markets after Greece failed to elect a new president for the third and final round of voting at Monday’s opening bell. It’s another quiet week in terms of data and volume. Amazon (AMZN) says 10 million new customers signed up for Amazon Prime over the holidays. The premium membership is $99 a year and includes free 2-day shipping along with other additions. Airline stocks will likely be in focus after the disappearance of AirAsia flight QZ8501. Search is now underway for the missing plane with 162 people on board. Sony’s (SNE) movie ‘The Interview’ made more than $15 million over the weekend. The movie is looking to be a Video-On-Demand success with more than 2 million downloads in just four days. Sony decided to release the film online and at select theaters over security fears.
