I made a three-minute animated sci-fi short film almost entirely with AI, using SeaDance 2.0, Pollo AI, Codex, GPT Image 2, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, and a lot of editing. The result is not perfect, but it honestly feels watchable in a way that makes one-person AI filmmaking feel much more real than it did even recently. Huge shoutout to Pollo AI for sponsoring today’s video, and making this possible!
In this breakdown, I show the full short, the cost, the prompt/reference workflow, the voice replacement process, the weird mistakes, and why Gemini Omni is incredible for video editing but not the tool I would pick for this kind of animated short yet.
