In Wednesday’s Analysts’ Actions, TheStreet highlights a shift in preference in automakers, as well as a couple of downgrades on Citigroup (C) and Goldman Sachs (GS). Analysts at Goldman Sachs upgraded Ford (F) to BUY from NEUTRAL, while lowering its rating on General Motors (GM) to NEUTRAL from BUY. The firm cited Ford’s ‘superior’ growth outlook as well as its improving positioning in China. On the other hand, analysts see GM as more vulnerable to a weakening China market. Goldman raised its price target on shares of Ford to $19 from $18, and lowered its price target on shares of GM to $40 from $47. Analysts at Deutsche Bank weighed in on two investment firms. Analysts downgraded both Goldman Sachs and Citigroup to HOLD from BUY, following strong share performance. TheStreet’s Kurumi Fukushima reports in New York.
