Amazon Prime customers may have been deceived.

Amazon gets your money every month….but this time it’s paying you!
Amazon is shelling out $2.5 billion to settle FTC claims that it tricked people into Prime signups.
About $1.5 billion goes back to customers. If you joined Prime between 2019 and 2025 through certain offers and barely used it, you’ll automatically get $51.
Sounds huge… but Amazon pulled in nearly $170 billion in sales just last quarter. That means it makes back $2.5 billion in about a day and a half.
So yeah, refunds are coming – but Amazon likely won’t feel the pinch.
