Tesla (TSLA) will unveil its Model X on Tuesday – an electric SUV. While pricing has yet to be announced, reports suggest a fully-loaded version of the car, The Signature Series, will sell for $132,000. Tesla CEO Elon Musk defended the pricing of the SUV on Twitter earlier this month, saying: ‘With same options, Model X is $5k more than an S due to greater size & body complexity. Sig Series is fully loaded, hence high price.’ The Model X will also be the first SUV to boast falcon wing doors, which open up instead of out. Shares of Tesla are trading up 2.2 percent and returned over 14 percent since the start of the year. TheStreet’s Scott Gamm reports from New York.
