Shares of Tesla got a slight bump Friday after the electric vehicle maker announced that a car crash in Germany involving one of its cars and a bus was not due to the vehicle’s autopilot malfunctioning. The Tesla driver told authorities that the car was in autopilot mode when the crash occurred, leading to speculation about the safety of Tesla’s autopilot software. But, after speaking with the driver, the company said that the crash was unavoidable because the bus swerved into the Tesla’s lane.
