Former CBS News reporter Catherine Herridge, who is known for her Hunter Biden laptop investigations, is launching a new show with the Los Angeles Times Media Group.
The weekly series, called “Straight to the Point,” will feature Herridge’s investigations and appear on her channel on X, as well as on the Partrick Soon-Shiong-owned LA Times Media Group’s digital channels.
The program, which debuts on Sunday, will kick off with an exclusive interview produced by Trifilm Pictures with Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon, who will talk about her office’s investigation of the spray painted swastikas found on a Jewish school in Brooklyn hours after Zohran Mamdani won New York City’s mayoral election on Tuesday.

The Emmy Award-winning journalist — who was controversially ousted from CBS News in 2024 amid broader layoffs at the network — has been blazing her own path as an independent reporter.
Some of her recent work includes an exclusive sit-down with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and an interview with a CIA whistleblower who accused the government of a Havana Syndrome cover up — along with insight on how CBS allegedly blocked her reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop story.
Herridge is set to bring the same hard-charging journalism to the LA Times. The series will include roughly 44 videos encompassing exclusive interviews with newsmakers across government, business, technology, culture and national security, as well as investigations and pieces that provide context on major news stories.
It comes at a time when the LA Times is looking to go public and beef up its reporting after a tumultuous period marked by layoffs and financial woes.
