Hey there, Delilah! Celebrity hotspot to open latest venue in Meatpacking District
ShareShareShareShareShare

One of the country’s hottest restaurants and supper clubs will soon open its exclusive doors on the throbbing corner where the Meatpacking District and Chelsea meet, Realty Check has learned.

Delilah, a celebrity-favorite mecca with locations in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Miami, signed a lease for a 10,000 square-foot, two-level pleasure palace at 50 Ninth at West 14th Street.

The incoming Delilah — not to be confused with the Delilah tapas and supper club venue on Rivington Street on the Lower East Side — is part of The h.wood Group, a burgeoning nightlife empire founded by John Terzian and Brian Toll.

Guests at the other venues have included Jay-Z and Beyonce, Justin Bieber, multiple Kardashians, Blake Lively, Drake, Pierce Brosnan  and Leonardo DiCaprio.

An h.wood Group rep said it “does not have news to share about a Delilah location in New York at this time.”

However, a liquor license application hearing before Community Board 4, which approved the plan,  this month spilled  the beans:

Delilah will be located next to the fabled Old Homestead and will feature both live and “background” music and a DJ — but no dancing. It will serve food until 2 a.m. It’s expected to accommodate 350 people at 190 tables, although the legal capacity is 420.

Owner Brian Toll will visit the place “regularly,” according to the application.

Luring Delilah — which first opened in LA in 2016, followed by at Wynn Las Vegas in 2021 and in Miami last year — is the latest coup for developer Tavros, which recently completed the 50 Ninth restoration and is now marketing the remainder of its space.

The project consists of three restored, landmarked, 19th Century rowhouses for retail and a new, eight-story boutique office building behind it.

Dov Barnett, a Tavros partner, noted that  50 Ninth’s location  “right across the street from Apple, Google, Gucci and Chelsea Market” helps make it “an incredible home for brands and companies for years to come.”

The property consists of a 30,000 square-foot retail portion in the low-rise rowhouses, with interiors stylized by design firm Fogarty Finger, and a new, eight-story, 57,000 square-foot office mini-tower with private outdoor terraces behind it designed by architectural firm BKSK.

Rolls-Royce has already leased  an “experience center” on the office portion’s eighth floor and private equity firm Sole  Source Capital also took a floor. Office rents have been reported as high as $180 per square foot.

Tavros declined to comment through a rep.

The Tavros team is also behind Williamsburg’s much larger mixed-use project The Dime.
