Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen addresses the House Financial Services Committee for the first time as head of the central bank. TheStreet’s Joe Deaux sat in on the testimony in Washington and noticed three new bits of information Yellen offered amid the hours-long questioning from committee members, and all three of those things came during Rep. Carolyn Maloney’s questions. The markets viewed Yellen’s remarks as positive, while the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average gained more than 1% on Tuesday.
