2014 looks to be another down year for the U.S. beer industry as more Americans shift to wine and spirits, according to Moody’s Linda Montag. Despite the beer decline, there are some bright spots among craft beers, imports and cidre. Montag says the brightest sub-category is craft beer where sales are surging. With 2,700 craft breweries around the U.S., Montag says there will likely be more consolidation as the big players look to make acquisitions. TheStreet’s Ruben Ramirez has details.
