It’s a day bursting with earnings. Chipotle (CMG) pressured the S&P 500 Wednesday after reporting comparable-store sales up just over 10% in its first quarter, below estimates and a slowdown from the fourth quarter’s 16% growth. The burrito chain has suffered a pork shortage after issues with its sustainable suppliers. McDonald’s (MCD) gave the Dow a boost despite missing earnings estimates. Investors are betting on a turnaround from the world’s largest fast food chain. The company said it would reveal details of its plans early next month. Boeing (BA) topped earnings forecasts, though revenue missed despite jumping 8%.
