Abercrombie & Fitch’s huge flagship stores are highly unique in retail: shirtless male models lined up out front, posing for pictures and reeking of Abercrombie’s Fierce cologne while electronic dance music pumps through the speakers. Belus Capital Advisors CEO Brian Sozzi suggests Abercrombie’s international flagship stores are failed strategy due to merchandise that ignores the local markets, models that don’t speak the local language, inefficient store designs, and overpriced clothes.
