The interest rate decision and FOMC commentary will dominate the trading week ahead, as well as corporate earnings with 27% of the S&P 500 reporting. David Peltier, Portfolio Manager of Stocks Under $10 and Dividend Stock Advisor says another important factor is the trade in the commodity complex. Two stocks reporting next week that Peltier also owns in the Dividend Stock Advisor portfolio are Conoco Phillips and AT&T. A key theme for investors has been putting money to work in high-quality, hi-yielding stocks and Peltier explains he looks for companies that have a stellar balance sheet and are shareholder-friendly to support the dividend policy, in addition to the underlying business.
