CEO of Hinge Justin McLeod stopped by to talk to the new, updated Hinge app (one of the more popular dating apps) to speak about why they were moving from a free service to a paid subscription only. With an influx of dating apps that cater to predominately twenty-something hook-up culture and the people who pretend like they could participate in it, Hinge wanted to move past a swiping left or right UX and into more of a “story” about the person.
