It’s almost time to spring forward because Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday, March 9. We’ll move our clocks forward one hour and explain why we participate and how we lose an hour of sleep this weekend. We’re highlighting a school program that has been helping some kids improve their reading skills with the support of some four-legged friends and a bit of paw-sitive reinforcement. Finally, Paul Tazewell, the costume designer who brought Oz to life in the movie “Wicked,” made Oscars history by becoming the first Black man to win the Academy Award for costume design. Tazewell began designing costumes for productions in high school, proving you’re never too young to pursue your dreams.
