Tariffs are coming. Here’s what to purchase now, and what’s not worth the panic.

Trae Bodge: So just remember you don’t want to buy anything that’s perishable. I’m hearing about people running to Costco or Sam’s Club and panic buying their favorite foods. Just be mindful of that. Also, we don’t need to run out and buy toilet paper right now like we did with the pandemic. Toilet paper typically is manufactured in the US. We do get paper pulp from other countries. But I think we’re good on the toilet paper. So really moving forward, I would say if you have a bigger ticket item on your list, if it’s an appliance, a laptop, a car, things that you were planning to buy later in the year. This is a good time to start looking around. Look for deals. Look for good financing offers like buy now, pay later or 0% financing any offers from your credit card and take advantage of those things to help spread your financial outlay across multiple pay periods. So you can make that purchase earlier than planned.
