TheStreet reporter Jennifer Van Grove reveals what we can expect Facebook to announce at its annual F8 Developer Conference this week. Van Grove explains the significance of the event, which will kick off with a keynote address from chief executive Mark Zuckerberg. She reveals that the company will likely put a big focus on messaging during the conference. Facebook already owns two of the most popular messaging apps, WhatsApp and its own Messenger. Now, Van Grove says Facebook may announce that it will open up the Messenger app to developers, which would turn the service into a platform that can handle games and marketplaces. Plus, Van Grove reveals what the social networking giant may reveal for consumers.
