Earnings season is coming to a close, plus more economic data: that’s what to watch on Wall Street for the week of February 9th. On Monday, we’ll hear from Loews Corporation (L) and Hasbro (HAS) before the markets open. Tuesday brings financial results from CVS Health (CVS), Starwood Hotels & Resorts (HOT) and Spirit Airlines (SAVE). The earnings parade continues on Wednesday with media giants AOL (AOL) and Time Warner (TWX) reporting results before the markets open and Tesla Motors posting its earnings after the closing bell. Also on Wednesday, Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Richard Fisher delivers a speech at 8am in New York on monetary policy, particularly important as the Fed is mulling a 2015 rate hike. Thursday is a big day for economic data, with jobless claims coming out at 8:30am, along with retail sales numbers, a key economic indicator as consumer spending drives two-thirds of GDP. TheStreet’s Scott Gamm has details from New York.
