Facebook shares rally to an all time high Friday, putting Facebook’s value in the top ten in the S&P 500. Facebook shares climbed 7.4% last week, its biggest weekly gain in 8 months. Facebook’s value is now $231 billion dollars, more than Coca-Cola, Verizon, Procter & Gamble and JP Morgan Chase. Facebook is closing in on General Electric, which is valued at $255 billion. The latest push to Facebook’s shares came as TechCrunch reported that the social media giant would reveal new ways for third parties to use its messenger app at the F8 conference this week. However, the stock has done well this year on earnings growth.
