At a small school in rural Alabama, students are being taught how to play with math in order to better understand it. From foam blocks to colorful tiles, these kids have said goodbye to traditional textbooks and worksheets, to explore the fun and creative ways they can develop an important skill called “math fluency.” “Nightly News: Kids Edition” is sponsored by Walton Family Foundation to support reporting on education across the nation.
