StableLM is a series of open-source language models developed by Stability AI, a company that also created Stable Diffusion, an AI image generator. StableLM models are trained on a large dataset that builds on The Pile. The models can generate text and code for various tasks and domains. The models are currently in alpha mode and range from 3B to 7B parameters, with plans to release larger models up to 175B parameters. Stability AI also fine-tuned some of the models using recent datasets for conversational agents. The models are hosted on the Hugging Face hub and can be accessed through web demos or notebooks.
