Television show ‘Community’ premieres its final season this month, but you won’t be able to watch it on any TV channel. The show will be online on Yahoo’s (YHOO) video-streaming site. According to Nielsen (NLSN), the show had an average of 3.6 million viewers on NBC (CMCSA). Other video-streaming services like Amazon (AMZN) have not revived any canceled shows but the viewer is changing. The success of Netflix’s (NFLX) ‘House of Cards’ shows the platform works. For shows that weren’t initially created for online like ‘Community’ the distributor, in this case Sony Pictures Television (SNE) may be a big winner.
