After a huge rally on Friday, U.S. markets remain mixed on Monday, with S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average moving higher and slight declines in the Nasdaq. Moving the markets this morning, Gilead Sciences (GILD) fell 2.3%, after a Bloomberg report indicated patients may develop complications when taking its hepatitis C drugs Sovaldi or Harvoni, in conjunction with various heart treatments. Plus, Federal Reserve Vice Chairman Stanley Fischer delivers a speech in New York. Investors will be watching for clues of when the central bank will raise short term interest rates. Also, Greece Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras meets with German Chancellor Angela Merkel for the first time. TheStreet’s Scott Gamm has details from New York.
