Keep an eye on shares of Sprouts Farmers Market (SFM) in Thursday’s trading session. The specialty grocery store reported better than expected fourth quarter earnings figures on both the top and bottom line. Sprouts, which sells natural and organic foods, faces stiff competition against Whole Foods Market (WFM), which recently posted solid quarterly figures. Sprouts also guided for full year 2015 profit expectations lower compared to analysts’ estimates. Shares ended the regular session at $37.09, but the stock is trading lower following its earnings release. TheStreet’s Kurumi Fukushima reports in New York.
