RF Micro Devices and TriQuint have announced an all-stock transaction to create a new company with combined revenue of more than $2 billion. The component specialists are eyeing growth opportunities in three huge global markets – mobile devices, network infrastructure and defense. James Klein, VP and GM for Infrastructure and Defense Products in the newly merged company tells TheStreet’s James Rogers how the deal will generate significant defense sector revenue.
